Edge of Rib Lake
This photograph shows the steam hauler stopped on the edge of Rib Lake.
This would be the site of the existing fishing dock today. The logs
are peeled hemlock. The bark of the hemlock trees was peeled to
provide tan bark for the Rib Lake Tannery. The logs laying in the
foreground include yellow birch on the far left and white pine on the far
right.
